It houses a large two manual Henry Niemann Organ of 24 ranks.  Niemann, who’s  early training was in Germany and France , immigrated to Baltimore in the 1870s. His instruments are known for their clear & brilliant tone and quality construction. While the building of St. Peters is said not to be in peril of demolition, it has been closed and is up for sale. As the Niemann organ needs a through restoration, the Archdiocese feels it would be best to have it removed.
